About Black Diamond Parenting

I'm a Montessori-certified educator with 20 years in the classroom and a mom of three. Black Diamond Parenting is where my professional expertise meets my lived parenting experience.

Why "Black Diamond"?

In skiing, a black diamond marks expert terrain — the hardest runs on the mountain. Talking to your kids about bodies, boundaries, and sex can feel like the steepest slope you'll ever face as a parent. The point of this work is to make sure you don't have to take that run alone, or unprepared.

What I believe

• Sex education starts the day your child is born, not the day they hit puberty.
• The right vocabulary, used early and matter-of-factly, prevents a lifetime of shame.
• You don't need to be perfect — you need to be available.
• If your child can talk to you about sex, they can talk to you about anything.
